Create Association between Patient and Member

 

In order for the patient to view their own whiteboard (My Health Records), they must have a Healthtrax member account and that member account must be associated to the patient visit / account.

  • A member account must be created for the patient first. Here's how:
    1. Use the Healthtrax link on any internet connectable device to register to Healthtrax. http://hx.iwthealth.com
    2. The patient visit / account is then linked to their Healthtrax member account in Whiteboard logged in view

Associate patient using whiteboard

Associate the patient to their Healthtrax member account in Whiteboard. Access the whiteboard the following ways:

  • From Unit Summary view, hover over the room - View Whiteboard - Click on the room
  • From the Unit Summary, hover over the patient name - View Patient - Click on the patient
    • From the patient view - select "View Whiteboard"
  • From My Patients view, hover over the room - View Whiteboard - Click on the Location
  • From My Patients, hover over the patient name - View Patient Visit - Click on the patient 
    • From the patient view - select "View Whiteboard"

From the Whiteboard logged in view, you will see an orange triangle with an exclamation mark inside, Click this icon.

  • Clicking this icon will open a tab 'Patient/Member Association' - Click this icon.
  • Enter the member's email account for Healthtrax. Click on "Associate" button.
  • The orange icon will then disappear from the whiteboard screen, indicating successful association of patient to member account.
  • You will get an error message if the Healthtrax member email account is not found, indicating that the registration process has not been completed for the patient.

Associate patient using patient view / edit patient

From the Unit Summary or My Patients list, hover over the patient name - View Patient - Click on the patient.

  • From the patient view screen, in the breadcrumbs above the patient name, select 'View'
  • From the edit patient view, field named Email Address, click on 'Link to Member', enter the email address and click 'Link'
  • You will get an error message if the Healthtrax member email account is not found, indicating that the registration process has not been completed for the patient.
  • The result of this action will also remove the orange icon from the whiteboard view.

From Manage Patients, find the patient, click on 'View'.

  • From the edit patient view, field named Email Address, click on 'Link to Member', enter the email address and click 'Link'
  • The result of this action will also remove the orange icon from the whiteboard view.
  • You will get an error message if the Healthtrax member email account is not found, indicating that the registration process has not been completed for the patient
